The Sherwood Brothers’ energetic performances and stripped down interpretations are truly a never-seen-before acoustic tribute to rock and country in its purest acoustic form. From their authentic acoustic sound to their warm, intimate staging, the Sherwood Brothers’ show is heavily influenced by the Unplugged movement of the late 80s and early 90s.
Influenced by 50s rockabilly, classic country, and 70s & 80s rock, the Sherwood Brothers deliver everything from Johnny Cash to Peter Gabriel, the Beatles to Rush, Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones to Big & Rich and The Charlie Daniels Band. The band’s unique set list features kickass acoustic renditions of rock and country essentials from classic and southern to contemporary and alternative.
On stage, founders Darryl Sherwood (lead vocals, acoustic guitar, banjo), Dennis Sherwood (acoustic guitar, vocals), and Neal Petti (lead acoustic guitar, mandolin, vocals) present a modern, professional style with a clean and classic look. Mood lighting, backlit panels, LED string lights, fire pots, candles, and throw rugs provide a warm, natural, unplugged ambience. A spectrum of acoustic instruments, including a wall of acoustic guitars, upright bass, acoustic bass, mandolin, violin, banjo and acoustic drums, round out the stage plot.
Experienced in their craft, the Sherwood Brothers have expertly honed their style over the years. Rock at the core with a huge acoustic sound, vocal precision, diverse instrumentation, unique arrangements and an infectious presence… well, let’s just say it’s not your momma’s acoustic.
